US Singer Toni Braxton has shared great news concerning her 13-year-old son Diezel, who was diagnosed with Autism; a learning and behavioural disability that affects the way a person communicates and interacts with the people around him.
The mom who in 2014 had said that her son’s autism was God’s judgement for her previous abortion, is back to say that her son is now cured. This is the second time a mom is sharing the news of her child being cured of autism.
According to RWS, Toni spoke with Access Hollywood, saying:
“Early diagnosis changes everything. My son Diezel was off the spectrum being autistic, and Suzanne Wright, who unfortunately just passed… she called me immediately and said, ‘Get him in this program, do this, do that’. She’s been an advocate and helped me so much; I miss her already, I can’t believe she’s gone.
“Our lives have changed. He has no signs of autism. He’s our social butterfly… I’m very, very fortunate… He’s doing pretty wonderful. I’m pretty proud of him.”
Early intervention (early diagnosis, support and therapy) is key in dealing with autism in children. An enabling and appropriate environment for learning and development will help the child thrive to a very large extent.
