This dad has earned himself the title of a “cannibal”, after a video of him relishing a full English breakfast alongside servings of his wife’s raw and cooked placenta went viral.

Rossco Watson, 32, who welcomed his son Lachlan about a week ago with wife Heather, posted a video of himself eating his wife’s placenta to Facebook.

“So I ate my wife’s placenta and it was actually pretty damn good,” said the Insurance Broker from Darlington, County Durham, North East England.

In the video, Watson is seen sitting at the table for breakfast.

A full English breakfast of beans, black pudding, toast and sausages is flanked to the right by a plate of his wife’s raw placenta, which he garnished with salt and pepper; and to the left, by the cooked version of the same placenta.

“I’ve always said I’m going to eat my wife’s placenta,” he said.

“I’ve got a wee raw bit there which I’ve already garnished with some salt and pepper. I’ve already tried it and it’s not too bad.

“I’ve got my breakfast and some cooked bits of placenta there as well which should actually taste pretty good.”

He then ate some of the raw and cooked maternal organ with some beans (for more flavour), and decided that “it’s definitely better cooked”.

“Nine months in the cooking and about 10 minutes in the eating,” he cheered!

His wife Heather commented on Facebook, saying “He is awful I’m never kissing that mouth again x.”

“I’m no a fussy eater but just nooooo… you’re practically a cannibal,” commented another user.
