Kansas mom, Danesha Couch has got her hands full of babies within a very short time.
The 20-year old mom had 3 sets of twins at three different times, all in 26 months.
What’s even more surprising is that she did it without any fertility treatment, it was all natural.
“People just consider me a freak of nature when I tell them,” she told Fox news.
Her oldest child is 2-year old Danarius, whose twin brother Desmond, died shortly after birth due to complications arising from prematurity.
She couldn’t believe it when she got pregnant again with another set of twins, Delilah and Davina, who are now 1 year old.
“Three babies walking within a couple of months,” said Couch.
Her youngest set, Dalarnie and Darla are only one month-old, and had to spend 3 weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit, before they left the hospital. They are Danesha’s second pair of twins with her fiance, Jeffrey Pressler. The couple are not planning on having any more children for at least another ten years.
According to a report from Britain, the odds of having three sets of twins is 1 in 88000. The fact that one has had a set of fraternal twins makes her even more likely to have another, especially if she’s of African descent, explained Dr. Elizabeth Wickstrom of Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
Even though it might be tough taking care of 5 children, all of whom are under the age of 3, Danesha is still a happy mom.
“My regrets would be timing, but I’m really happy that I can even create babies or have life because some women can’t do that,” she said.
