Congratulations to Janet Jackson and her husband Wissam Al Mana.
On Tuesday 3rd January, the 50-year-old singer welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Eissa Al Mana.
According to a rep for the singer, the couple are thrilled to welcome their bundle of joy.
“Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world. Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably,” her rep said in a statement to People magazine.
The very private singer had her fans speculating about her pregnancy when she released a Twitter video to fans in April 2016, explaining why she had to postpone her Unbreakable World Tour.
“There actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know,” she said in the video.
“My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.
“Please, if you can, try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders,” she added.
She kept a low profile since then, but was spotted in central London in September shopping for baby furniture, with a clearly visible baby bump.
A month later, she officially confirmed her pregnancy with an exclusive maternity shoot for People Magazine. “We thank God for our blessing,” she said to the US publication.
Janet Jackson and her Qatari billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana got married in 2012 in a private ceremony.
