The unfortunate incident happened in Umuchima village, Owerri West LGA, during a domestic squabble between a barber named Chinedu and his wife, reports Starttells.Â
On the 12th of May, during an altercation between the couple, the woman had carried their baby in her arms, in a bid to discourage an irate Chinedu from beating her any further. However, he was still not discouraged, and he continued with the punches until one which the woman evaded hit the three-month old baby in the head.
He has since been arrested by the local vigilante group; though further details are yet to be given.
