50-year-old Janet Jackson is expecting her first child with billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana.
In a rare public outing, the US singer let the world catch a glimpse of her growing baby bump, when she was spotted in central London shopping for baby furniture, on Tuesday 27th September.
The very private mom-to-be who in April announced her pregnancy in a Twitter video to her fans, explaining why she had to postpone her Unbreakable World Tour, had since then kept a very low profile.
“I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour,” she told fans. “Please, if you can, try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders!”
In pictures exclusively obtained by ET, Janet looked pretty with no makeup on, while dressed in a comfortable outfit – a black sweater over sweatpants, paired with a headband, scarf, sneakers, and of course her iconic smile.
According to eyewitness accounts, Janet arrived at Back in Action store in a chauffeured black Mercedes. The store was shut down for her 45-minute visit, while she strolled the store and took an interest in one of the prams. She emerged from the store with a bag of products and appeared to be in good spirits.
Janet’s public appearance would put all rumours of surrogacy to rest, as fans await the arrival of the power couple’s first child.
Jackson and Al Mana got married in a private ceremony in 2012, after dating for two years.
