Aijay Ukonu shares some motivational words on accepting your pregnant body

Fashion stylist/makeup artist, Aijay Ukonu, recently welcomed her first child with ace photographer Paul Ukonu. She took to her instagram page  some weeks ago while she was still pregnant, to share positive vibes with other expecting moms,  encouraging them to embrace all the physical changes that come with pregnancy. She also called on people to stop being mean to pregnant women on social media.

Hear her words on marble:

”#TheJourneySoFar. Pregnancy really teaches a lot, and above all, it taught me how to be strong and accept myself the way i am. I remember the day i checked my weight around my 3rd month and i cried my eyes out or was it the day i saw my first stretch mark under my belly i cried a pool. But thanks to my darling @paulukonu who was always there to comfort me and remind me that i’m beautiful and with time i started accepting the changes(black neck, black face, stretchies, extra weight, big nose, and a lot more). You see i get so sad wen i see people saying mean things to pregnant women on social media. U really dont know wat they are passing through so why add more salt to their injury. Telling a pregnant lady she is beautiful would remove nothing from your body or better still dont say anything at all. Anyway enough of the story, here’s to all the expectant mums out there 🍻 we are all beautiful, dont let anyone tell you jack about your body, we are growing a human so stand tall ladies. We cant wait to meet our little one 👶🏽 😊 #daddyiswaiting #mummyiswaiting #pregnancybeyond #pregnantbelly #nigerianwedding #hotandpreggy #mothersinprotest #yummymummyng #yummymummynigeria”
