14-year-old Ese oruru who was allegedly abducted from Bayelsa State in August 2015, has been delivered of a baby girl. The father of the child is her alleged abductor Yunusa Dahiru, who took Ese to Kano, forcefully married and converted her to Islam without her parent’s consent, and went ahead to get her pregnant.
Vanguard reports that she went  into labour on the 26th of May, and was taken to the Government House clinic in Yenagoa where she gave birth. Her father, Mr. Oruru, confirmed that Ese and her baby were doing fine, after a safe delivery.
Since she was rescued in March 2016, after a public outcry and campaign to #FreeEse, she is said to have been in the protective custody of the police in Yenagoa.
The alleged abductor Yunusa, who was charged with criminal abduction, illicit sex, sexual exploitation and unlawful carnal knowledge of a minor, on March 8, 2016,  pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against him.
He was granted bail to the tune of N3 million and two sureties in like sum; but has remained in prison because he is yet to meet his bail conditions.
What does the future hold for the 14-year-old mother, who upon her rescue had said she was confused about what to do with her life?
