Janet Jackson, 50, has officially confirmed the pregnancy she subtly announced to her twitter fans in April.
The very private American singer, who let the world catch a rare glimpse of her baby bump while shopping for baby furniture in London, has now proudly shown much more than just a sneak peek.
In a maternity shoot for People Magazine, the glowing mom-to-be showed off her growing baby bump in a body-hugging white dress.
“We thank God for our blessing,” she said to the US publication.
This is the first time the star is officially addressing the pregnancy speculations that emerged, after she somewhat hinted that she was pregnant in a Twitter video to fans, explaining why she had to postpone her Unbreakable World Tour.
“There actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know,” she said in the video.
“My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.
“Please, if you can, try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders,” she added.
This would be the first child for Janet and her Qatari billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana. The couple got married in 2012 in a private ceremony.
