My birth story
I got tired of doing the home pregnancy test.
It’d been two years and some months since I got married. One day I was home alone, I decided to talk to God one on one but I was distracted by my frequent visit to the toilet to pee. Then a voice whispered to me “chi just try and repeat that PT again” , so I obeyed. I did the test but I left it in the toilet because I didn’t want to see the result and get depressed again.
So I went back to discuss with God, suddenly I had to go and pee again then went back to the toilet and boom! I saw two lines on the strip. I couldn’t believe it so I opened 3 more strips and dipped it into another container of urine and it was positive. I wasn’t convinced so I called my doc friend and asked him if it was possible for the test strip to give a false positive result but he asked me to go for a scan.
I was overwhelmed with joy, my nine months journey was smooth and perfect.
It was 5am on a Sunday, I woke up due to a sharp pain and my body was wet. Then came the second pain and contractions started, it was unbearable so hubby and I went straight to the hospital. I screamed and wailed, I couldn’t hold myself because the contractions were coming stronger. I grabbed the kind nurse attending to me by her cloth with one hand and my hubby’s shirt with the other hand. I almost tore their clothes…hahaha. I screamed till 12pm that same day when my prince came out and all my pains disappeared when I saw him for the first time.
