This picture posted by Sher Fertility Institute brilliantly captures all what IVF represents, and it quickly went viral for a good reason.
A lot of people in our society look down on women that went the IVF route, but it can be chalked down to ignorance. If they understood exactly how physically and emotionally draining IVF was, they would extol women that conceived through IVF.
Even more surprising is the fact that some women are ashamed to admit that they did IVF. Why on earth would anyone hide this miracle? I mean, take a look at all those needles and let that sink in for a moment. What about the anxiety of the infamous “Two-Week-Wait”? And the exorbitant cost of the procedure? To cap it all off, the woman still has to go through the usual rigours of pregnancy.
IVF portrays true love in its entirety! It is going the extra mile to get that miracle baby. By the time you have your baby(ies) in your arms, you will know they were worth every injection, worth every penny, worth every pain.
To all women on the TTC journey, stay strong, hang in there, don’t give up hope. You will surely smile at the end.
